Harry Morgan (April 10, 1915 - December 7, 2011)[1] is an American actor. He appeared in the episode "Mother Simpson" as Detective Bill Gannon, his character from the TV series Dragnet (1967-70). As well as Dragnet he is famous for his role as Colonel Sherman T. Potter on M*A*S*H (1975-83). He has made over 100 film appearances.
