History
It was produced by and broadcasted on Channel 6 to fulfill the FCC's requirement for educational programming, and to make room for the show 20 minutes of The Krusty the Clown Show was trimmed. Kidz Newz was quickly cancelled because of the very poor viewing figures with an average of 0.1% viewing share, and was replaced with The Mattel and Mars Bar Quick Energy Chocobot Hour. Bart Simpson's notable role in Kidz Newz was the segment, Bart's People, in which he would report about the sentimental circumstances of some citizens of Springfield.
