Curling is a sport that Marge and Homer are good at. They, along with Seymour and Agnes Skinner, formed the USA Olympic curling team for the 2010 Winter Olympics.[1]
Bart and Milhouse once interrupted a curling match while fighting over Greta Wolfcastle. The match they interrupted was part of the Canadian sports program Curling for Loonies.[2]
Description[edit]
Curling involves one team member sliding a curling disc while other team members sweep the ice to keep it warm and all bits off it so that the disc can go further. There is a circular target (similar to that of a dartboard) at the other side. The closer to the inside you get, the more points you get.
Winter Olympics[edit]
In the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, team USA won the gold medal. Marge was talented at curling due to her effort in sweeping the house to keep it clean. Homer very nearly cost USA the gold but Marge made up for it using her left hand to sweep as she was left handed. Team USA were going to sign up for allowing Team Sweden to take their spot in the final after Marge injured her shoulder but carried on with her left arm and eventually went on to win.[1]
