While out at a carnival on the South-Side Sea Port, Homer accidentally swallows a flaming stick (thinking it was a kabob) and burns his tongue to the point which he develops sensitive tasebuds, making him a "supertaster". This makes most of the food he eats burn his tongue, except cafeteria food Lisa brings home. He decides to come to Springfield Elementary to eat during lunch, embarissing Bart in the process.
