Redirects are pages in the mainspace that redirect that page to another page. They are generally used to redirect other names for a page or common spelling errors in a name to the proper page.

How to make a redirect[edit]

Making a redirect is simple. All you have to do is type #REDIRECT [[Article name]] onto a page. There should be nothing else on the page otherwise the redirect will not work. Alternatively, you could click the redirect button in the edit screen (Redirect.png).

Redirecting to a section[edit]

You can also redirect to a section of a page. This is also very simple. You just have to type #REDIRECT [[Article name#Section name]] This will redirect to that page then to that section on the page. If the section does not exist, it will just redirect to that page.
