Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday in French) is a day of merrymaking on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.
History
Blanche DuBois sung that she thought her life would be a Mardi Gras, a never-ending party but she was wrong.[1]
Homer was once voted to be King of the Springfield Mardi Gras. However this was a ruse as part of Frank Grimes Jr.'s plan to kill Homer.[2]
The Simpsons hosted a Mardi Gras party in their backyard. Ned Flanders tried halting the party at midnight to let everyone know that it was Ash Wednesday. The next morning revealed Agnes Skinner and Otto had sex during the party, while Lenny asked how Homer how he was able to afford such a big party.[3]
