Comic Story information

Fork It Over is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #54.
Synopsis[edit]
Bart's new trick fork gets him into trouble with Nelson.
Plot[edit]
It's lunchtime at Springfield Elementary School. In the cafeteria, Nelson talks to Kearney, then glances at his tray and notices that half of his French fries are gone. Nelson asks Bart if he stole the French fries, but Bart claims innocence on the grounds that he's sitting three feet away. Just then, however, Milhouse and Martin come up behind Bart, and Milhouse tells Martin he's got to see Bart's new fork. Milhouse says—to Bart's dismay—that with its telescoping action, the fork can extend to three feet long. After Milhouse demonstrates the fork's extension capability, Nelson realizes that Bart did indeed steal his French fries.
The scene shifts to outside. Bart, who has evidently just been beaten up, is lying in a dumpster with the extended fork wrapped around his neck. Lisa asks Milhouse what Bart's doing in the dumpster. Milhouse replies that she can blame Bart's big fork, and Bart adds that she can also blame Milhouse's big mouth. Nelson brushes his hands together, tells Bart to let the beating be a lesson to him, and walks away. He then realizes that pummeling Bart has given him an appetite and decides to steal somebody's lunch.
