The twenty-fourth content update, known as the Squidport update, for The Simpsons: Tapped Out was released on June 12, 2013. It added the Squidport to the game. Some other changes were made: the Wiggum House is now classed as a house, the lamp post introduced in the Christmas update was removed, the Springfield Downs' odds were changed, and the Duff Barney Blimp from the Season 24 Yard Sale now has a 'burp' noise when the player taps on it. A smaller update was made on June 18 that made so Ferris Wheel and Planet Hype require Squidport Pt. 5 instead of Pt. 6 and the lamp post was back.

Like the delicious fried dough they used to sell down at the waterfront. Get in the car, kids! We're going to the Squidport! Dad, remember? You blew up the town. There is no Squidport. D'oh! That one was an annoyed d'oh. I suppose we could rebuild the Squidport. It'd be nice to see our town finally stretch down to the water. Get in the car, kids! We're going to rebuild the Squidport! Squidport Pt. 4

Ah, the Squidport! Full of charming junkies and colorful runaways, attracted by the smell of carnival food and shady merchants... Wait a minute! My Squidport doesn't have any of that! Dad? Is something wrong? No, Sweetie. Daddy just has to have a talk with some of his real estate partners. STUPID WATERFRONT! EMBARRASS ME IN FRONT OF THE JUNKIES AND RUNAWAYS! The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 1

Been at Madagascar and at Malabar and spent half a hundred days floating 'round that giant garrrbage patch in the Pacific. Y'arr, that last one tweren't intentional. But sit ye down and have a yarn with the Captain. I'll tell of a ship that near went under, her belly laden with counterfeit Kindle Fires. Eh, I'm not really much of listening to people. After tapping on Sea Captain's exclamation mark Y'arr, the Squidport! This old seadog has spent many a silver here, having me caricature made and eating Dipping Dots. Tho something's diffrent now, can't lay a finger to it. Whait, I have it it's become totally lame. I know, right? You can't buy a fried anything or squoosh a penny into a worthless flat oval. Me men'll get this place into ship-shape. The finest builders what sailed the seas! It makes sense that sailors would know carpentry. They have to constantly repair the ship. Aye. We'll start by building a logo store to increase footfalls and up the spill-over effect. Okay, now it's making less sense. Sailors must also be well versed in mall-science and neuromarketing. The player receives "Squidport Pt. 5" which is to "Build the Itchy & Scratchy Store". It takes 24 hours. The player receives total 100 and 10 in reward. Build After select the building Squidport buildings can only be placed on the boardwalk, ye land-lubbers! Yeah, build on the boardwalk, Land-lubbers! If you lub land so much, why don't you marry it? Y'arr, Homer, don't help. If the player not placing it on the boardwalk You have to put Squidport buildings on the boardwalk, or the pirate guy will get mad! Pirate?! Aarg, I should keelhaul the lot of ye!

They Fight and Buy-It

After tapping on Bart's exclamation mark Gather together your birthday card twenties and "get well soon" fives! We're going to the Itchy and Scratchy store! Yes! Luckily I went to the ER three times last month, so I'm flush with cash! The player receives "They Fight and Buy-It" which is to "Make Milhouse Browse the Itchy & Scratchy Store" and "Make Bart Browse the Itchy & Scratchy Store". It takes 4 hours. The player receives total 450 and 100 in reward. That place is a rip-off, Bart. This Scratchy keychain is clearly a re-painted Garfield with an ax in his head. This Itchy and Scratchy ball bounces funny and makes my eyes water when I smell it. Also, it's stamped with the words "Warning: Not a Toy!" I just found money in my other pocket! What are we waiting for? Let's buy more crap!

Squidport Pt. 6

After tapping on Sea Captain's exclamation mark T'is a start, but a short boardwalk is like a peg-leg dancing girl. If she's right there, you'll look at 'er, but enh. Ye need to build more Boardwalk. How do we do that? I mean, I know... but explain it slowly for the people who aren't as smart as me am. Head ye over to the Squidport Entrance and then, er... I don't know, just build it. You're like one of them, ye know, light... buildings that shine for boats and stuff when the weather is.. not good... Y'arr, I'd best get to readin'. It's so wonderful that you want to expose people to the crafts and cultures of distant peoples! N'arr, I just want to fleece tourists the way the locals fleeced me everywhere I went. After tapping on Lisa's exclamation mark Ooh, an entire store filled with rainsticks! How can I choose just one?‎ Lis, even you have to see those things are beyond lame. It's a giant, slow rattle.‎ Rainsticks were invented by the Aztecs who believed that by recreating the sound of rain, they could call forth rainstorms to water their crops.‎ Well, they should have invented a stick that recreated the sound of them not being conquered by the Spanish.‎ Wow. Jewels? You're going to share your ill-gotten treasure booty with us! Stop calling me a pirate! I meant a metaphorical jewel. Something that will really make the Squidport shine. A fried dough stand? Better than that. An Antique Book Store? Better than that. A hundred foot tall climbing wall that you parachute down from? The Frying Dutchman Pt. 1

After tapping on Sea Captain's exclamation mark Y'arr, to use an old nautical term: Ta-dah!! That's our "jewel"? A crappy food shack? The Frying Dutchman is a charming seafood restaurant! You sell fish sticks. That's not seafood. It's barely food-food. *chomp*I gotta say, *gulp*the boy's right, Sea Captain, this food is... *chew*...just okay. *gulp* Did I mention it was "All-You-Can-Eat?" Out of my way people, or risk being eaten! The player receives "The Frying Dutchman Pt. 1" which is to "Make The Sea Captian Work at The Frying Dutchman" and "Make Springfield Resident Eat at The Frying Dutchman (20x)". It takes 8 hours. The Frying Dutchman Pt. 2

After tapping on Sea Captain's exclamation mark Yarr! Business is booming! Booming footsteps? Why is the ground shaking? What's that shadow falling over the threshold? Neptune help us -- there's two o' them! I'm here for your "All-You-Can-Eat" buffet. I have brought my own plate... which is actually a catering pan! Well, I brought my kids' inflatable swimming pool. It's a giant bowl you can sit in. Said pool looks like it deflated. You are so currently just sitting and eating off the floor. At least I'm eating. Touche. Make room for me. The horror. The horror. The Sea Captain's task takes 8 hours. Homer's and Comic Book Guy's tasks takes 1d 12h. The player receives total 2,150 and 550 in reward. Everything. They ate everything. All the food... even the Naugahyde off the booth. T'aren't men, tha're remorseless eatin' machines. Passable. I'll give it 2.5 out of 5 on my blog. By the way, I'll be paying with a Groupon. Squidport Pt. 12

After tapping on Sea Captain's exclamation mark Homer, I'm beggin' ye. What can I do to have you turn your mighty eatin' power elsewhere? Well, the only reason I even came down to the waterfront was to get some fried dough. That's it? That's all we have to do? Yee-haw! I mean... I don't know, whatever sailors say when they're happy. The player receives "Squidport Pt. 12" which is to "Have Boardwalk Sections x17" and "Build a Fried Dough Stand". It costs 945. The player receives total 100 and 10 in reward. Place There, take it! The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 5

After tapping on Sea Captain's exclamation mark Y'arr, I have depleted the ocean of all her delicious sea life. What Homer did to my restaurant, I did to Poseidon's endless wonderland. So, I can see how he'd be sore at me. It's going ta take a bit o' sweet talkin' to get the bounty of the sea flowing again. After tapping on Sea Captain's exclamation mark Mr. Sea Captain? As much as I love your quaint restaurant, there really aren't many breakfast options. What are ye talking about? The swim bladder of a kipper is a breakfast delicacy on Norwegian prison ships. Be that as it may, I think vegetarians would prefer, pretty much anything else. How about muffins? Vegetarians? Preachy blowhards! But I suppose their money's green enough. Let's build your Muffin shop! After tapping on Moe's exclamation mark Muffins, eh? I don't normally go for fancy-schmancy snacks, but maybe it's time I started treating myself to the finer things in life. After tapping on Sea Captain's exclamation mark The gods have seen that out hearts are true and that we are trying to please them. Still, they want us to build a store whose named doesn't, in any way, explain what kind of products the store sells. They were that specific. The player receives "Squidport Pt. 16" which is to "Have Boardwalk Sections x31" and "Reach Level 19 and Build Crypto Barn". It costs 81,000 and takes 24 hours. The player receives total 100 and 10 in reward. Build Y'arr let the bells ring out! The Sea Gods have accepted our offering! The oceans are once again roiling with bountiful sea life. And we are killing it as fast as we can. And best of all, my restaurant is turning a moderate profit, all thanks to my renewed humility and mindfulness. Loads of Codes

After tapping on Martin's exclamation mark The Crypto Barn: A Place For Codes. This may be my favorite store ever. A place for codes? What does that even mean? Isn't it obvious? They sell codes and code-related supplies. All kind of codes: Computer, Moral, health... Wow, this is great! I know, I could spend hours and hours here! No, the store sucks, it's great that I've finally found someone dorkier than me. The player receives "Loads of Codes" which is to "Make Martin Go to the Crypto Barn" and "Make Milhouse Go to the Crypto Barn". It takes 4 hours. The player receives total 450 and 100 in reward.

Premium Quests

Fantastic Ferric Wheel

After Built After tapping on Mr. Burns's exclamation mark Smithers, look! A pleasure wheel very similar to the one that Ferris boy was working on. Would you like to take a ride, sir? I'd like to, but I lack sufficient body weight to keep from being gusted away at the top. Perhaps if you rode with me and held me. I... I... I... *thump* The player receives "Fanatastic Ferric Wheel" which is to "Make Mr. Burns Ride the Ferris Wheel" and "Make Smithers Ride the Ferris Wheel". It takes 10 hours. The player receives total 1,150 and 280 in reward.

Malaria Del Arte

After tapping on Lisa's exclamation mark Look, replica tribal blowgun! And the darts and dripped in a paralytic compound. One drop could bring down a charging yak. Cool, lemme try! *inhales*Ack! You're supposed to blow. You... blow... heh-heh, zing... *tump*. Help! Someone call a doctor! Did someone say "Doctor"? Hi, everybody! The player receives "Malaria Del Arte" which is to "Make Dr. Nick Perform Emergency Surgery" and "Make Bart Perform Emergency Surgery". It takes 12 hours. The player receives total 520 and 115 in reward. Okay, little boy, the venom in your system has been counteracted. Thanks, Doc. No need to thank me. Getting paid is payment enough.
