This is a list of interruptions during airings of The Simpsons. These include interupptions such as the episode being stopped by a network problem, or the episode being shrunk to air a promo, or a banner.

Fox

Image Episode Air date Description YouTube video "She of Little Faith" February 1, 2003 On this date, an Albany Fox affiliate, WXXA-TV pulled the episode mid-stream because of a scene which seemed insensitive after that day's disintegration of the Space Shuttle Columbia, which lead to complaints from viewers. Another re-run began after the episode was pulled. The offending scene included Bart building a rocket and firing it, and it falls to the ground, burning down the First Church of Springfield. "The Real Housewives of Fat Tony" May 1, 2011 Broadcasts may have been interrupted by President Obama's address to the country depending on the timezone. "To Cur, with Love" December 16, 2012 The show was interrupted by President Obama's address to the country.

BBC 1

Some episodes were interrupted by Wimbledon matches.

Channel 4

Image Episode Air date Description YouTube video "Homer's Odyssey" Possibly Jan 2012 Apparently, the channel incorrectly started the episode, it cut to a "Programmes will continue shortly" screen in the scene where Homer runs into the middle of the road to save his family. After the ident finished, the episode started from the beginning, possibly causing a blip in schedules. F8pZW7Sl1r8 "The Mook, the Chef, the Wife and Her Homer" December 22, 2012 After the first 'page' of credits, it went black for about a second before cutting to the normal 'T4 credits screen'.

Possibly Late March/Early April 2009 In the scene where Strangles wraps his tail around Homer's neck, a promo for Bones appeared on the left of the screen. HAx12hED1Uw "Treehouse of Horror XVIII" February 2010 A banner for "Brand New Lost" appeared on the bottom of the screen. xwz-uu08RO4 "'Scuse Me While I Miss the Sky" July 9, 2010 A banner featuring a Sky News update that Raoul Moat had been surrounded by police appeared on the bottom of the screen. This was seen during a scene with Lisa lying on her bed. "Lisa Gets an "A"" December 21, 2012 The sound went off during the scene where Homer pours salt water into the fish tank with Mr. Pinchy in. Sky viewers only: Also, at the beginning of the second part of the episode, a "remind me" box appeared in the corner of the screen, meant to appear during the advert before the beginning of the second part, an advert for A Very JLS Christmas. However, when the green button on the remote was pressed, nothing happened (it should have gone to the planner giving the viewer the option of setting a reminder for the program.) "Love Is a Many-Splintered Thing" November/December 2013 An announcer spoke over the end credits scene inwhich Bart is talking to the viewer. He later apologized. "The Changing of the Guardian" December 22, 2013 On the HD channel at least, the screen went black for a few seconds towards the end of the couch gag. An announcer later apologized. It is unknown whether these technical difficulties were prolonged on the non-HD channel, or on any other providers that have the rights to broadcast the channel. "You Don't Have to Live Like a Referee" June 8, 2014, and probably all future broadcasts As is common on Sky1, a "NEXT" banner appears towards the end of a show. This time, the banner's appearance messed up some of the translation of Marge's Portuguese towards the bottom of the screen, leaving it mostly illegible.

The episode was cut for a commercial and next program a few seconds before the credits should start.
