Three Mystery Band Students[edit]

In the first panel of the story, there are three students in the band room whom I haven't been able to identify. If anyone wants to have a go at IDing them and (if successful) add them to the characters appearing in the story, have at it! They are:

On the far left of the panel (walking next to Milhouse), a boy who is only partly in the frame. From his skin tone, he appears to be African-American.
On the right side of the panel, an Asian-American girl holding a clarinet. She seems familiar, but I just can't place her.
Also on the right side of the panel (just above Ham), an African-American boy who is putting away a tuba.

I don't think either of the boys is Lewis or Julius Hibbert's youngest son (the one who was seen with Hibbert at the auction in "Bart Stops to Smell the Roosevelts"). Beyond that, I have no idea who these three students might be. -- Mythigator 15:04, 6 October 2012 (EDT)

After further consideration, I'll go a little out an a limb and figure that the boy on the far left is Lewis. The hair, height and build are about right to be him. -- Mythigator 16:07, 13 October 2012 (EDT)

Yep, it's Jessica all right. Well spotted and tack you very much!! :-) She's dressed like we usually see Jessica with the pink outfit, vest and hait ribbons. As for her appearance, she has narrow and slightly sloped eyes anyway which make her look like more of a naughty-girl flirt. Aragonés draws the characters slightly differently from how they usually appear in the comics and on TV, so Jessica a. la. Sergio ended up looking Asian. -- Mythigator 19:23, 13 October 2012 (EDT)

Okay, we have two out of three of the "mystery students" figured out. To help in identifying the third (the boy putting away the tuba), here's the whole frame:

The only student I can think of is the Lewis look-alike. That tuba boy is just a bit too generic looking to really attach to any character, unless it's one that we don't have a page for yet.
