Comic Information
Genre: Superhero
First appearance: "Simple Simpson"

Supergirl vs. the Glass Ceiling is a comic book featuring Supergirl.

History[edit]

Homer heard that Comic Book Guy made Bart pay for Richie Rich: Incorporates in Delaware, Easy to Believe Tales, Supergirl vs. the Glass Ceiling, and The Green Listener, claiming that Bart smudged them. Bart said that he didn't even touch them, Comic Book Guy was just trying to unload the crappy comics on a helpless kid. Homer then dressed up as Pie Man and threw a pie in Comic Book Guy's face.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The comic features the DC Comics character Supergirl. A glass ceiling is a metaphor used to represent an invisible barrier that prevents a certain group of people (in this case, women) from rising beyond a certain level in a hierarchy.
