Little Shop of Homers is a Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror comic story first printed in Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror #1.

Synopsis[edit]

Lisa creates a plant-Homer hybrid which soon grows in size and hunger.

Plot[edit]

Lisa is growing a plant resembling a venus flytrap as part of a scientific experiment. She tries to combine its DNA with Homer's, using one of his toenail clippings, but the plant ends up dead the next morning. Due to the plant's bad smell, Bart decides to use it as a stinkbomb but is caught by the Springfield police, who take it to the Kwik-E-Mart Plant Emporium so Apu can identify it. The plant returns to life; it begins to grow in size, whilst also taking on a resemblance to Homer and gaining an appetite for donuts. The plant soon turns carnivorous, devouring Mr. Burns (who wished to purchase the plant) and Smithers. Bart suggests feeding it a donut delivery truck, but Homer sets fire to the plant in order to save the donuts, seemingly killing it and burning down the Kwik-E-Mart. However, a plant vine is seen reaching for a box of donuts afterwards.
