In the Name of Lava!/Quotes

Wikisimpsons - The Simpsons Wiki

Bart: How's the yard work going?
Homer: I'll get to it.
Bart: Don't bother. In a little while it won't matter.
Homer: Why not?
Bart: Because there'll be no yard.
Homer: Huh?
Bart: No yard. No house. No Springfield....
Homer: I bet you didn't even buy lava insurance.
Bart: That's too bad, because Mt. Springfield is about to blow!
Homer: What are you talking about?

Chief Wiggum: So, speedy McLeadfoot, what gives?
Homer: I'm just trying to get out of town before we all fry in a flood of lava! Look up there!
Chief Wiggum: A natural disaster? Aw... that's gonna be so much paperwork! I'd better warn Sarah and Ralphie.
Lisa: Shouldn't you be alerting the whole town?
Chief Wiggum: Oh, yeah... I should do that, too. Considering our impending doom, I'll let you off with a warning this time.
Homer: Thanks!

Principal Skinner: Edna, I admit we've had some ups and downs, but now what we are possibly facing a horrible death, I fell I need to do this... Edna will you marry me?
Edna Krabappel: Oh, Seymour. I'd rather take my changes with the lava.
Agnes Skinner: Good choice.
Milhouse Van Houten: Principal Skinner has inspired me! Lisa, I admit we've had some ups and down, but Lisa, will you--?
Lisa: Don't bother finishing that sentence.

Kent Brockman: And now back to Arnie Pie. The teleprompter is telling me he's had a change of heart and now ill fly over the erupting volacno... what? Is he crazy?
Arnie Pye: I'm not crazy. I've just decided that I realyl want to win the local news Emmy... even if it's posthumous! Through the smoke I see something... It's... ...it's a pile of burning tires! There is no volacno! [SIGH] So much for that Emmy. Back to you, Kent.
Kent Brockman: So views, this should serve as a lesson. Always listen to your Emmy Award-winning news anchor when he says, "remain calm."

Marge: I'm not very happy with you two!
Homer: It was Bart! He told me it was a volcano.
Bart: You rat!
Marge: Bart, you should be ashamed.
Lisa: Will you ever stop pulling lame-o pranks?
Bart: I was just trying to raise Homer's blood pressure a little, but before I knew it everyone else was suckered in. That's not lame. That's brilliant!
