Battle of Ticonderoga

Wikisimpsons - The Simpsons Wiki
"This is Jebediah Springfield at the Battle of Ticonderoga. Next. And here he is killing a snake on the very first Whacking Day in 1775."
Tour guide at Olde Springfield Towne
"Hey, wait a minute. That was the same day he was at Ticonderoga. How could he be in two places at once?"

Event Information
When did it happen: 1775
First Appearance: "Whacking Day"

The Battle of Ticonderoga occurred during the American Revolutionary War on May 10, 1775 in Ticonderoga, New York.

History[edit]

Bart was briefly expelled from Springfield Elementary and homeschooled by Marge. Bart took an interest in the book Johnny Tremain, set during the American Revolution, so Marge suggested they take a field trip to Olde Springfield Towne. The guide explained during a slideshow how Jebediah Springfield led a charge in the Battle of Ticonderoga, but he was also credited with whacking a snake on the first "Whacking Day" in 1775. Bart noticed a discrepancy and asked how Jebediah Springfield could be whacking a snake in Springfield on the first Whacking Day and also at the Battle of Ticonderoga, as both events would have occurred on the same day: May 10th, 1775.
