Pages for deletion (PfD) is where editors discuss whether a page should be deleted. Articles listed are normally discussed for at least five days after which the deletion process proceeds based on community consensus. Then the page may be kept, merged or redirected, moved to another title or deleted.

Allen Lanier

I hate deleting stuff, but I really think this is a stretch too far. Mr Lanier's article states that he "played the closing credits" of "The Parent Rap". But he didn't. He was a member of Blue Öyster Cult, and their song "Don't Fear the Reaper" was played over the end credits. But this was archive audio and neither he, nor the rest of the band, had any actual involvement in the episode. Notability policy states "All credited people should get an article," "Individual band members, even if they are not credited, should get an article," and "Uncredited crew members can get an article only if they are confirmed by a reliable source to have taken part in the episode." I don't believe Mr Lanier, or any other similar people who have articles classifying them as "guest stars" when they never produced anything for the show, and were not credited, meet any of these three criteria. Agreed where Mr. Lanier is concerned, but I think the Blue Oyster Cult article should stay. -- Mythigator (talk) 09:41, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Agreed. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 14:32, October 17, 2013 (EDT)

Episodes left at an unusual point

Reason for deletion: Unnecessary.

Disagree. This is good enough for a list in my eyes. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 03:18, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Disagree. This is an interesting list, although we do need to use some discretion about adding things to it. -- Mythigator (talk) 09:37, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Disagree, for reasons stated above. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 14:32, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Disagree, but rename. You see, when it comes down to it, "unusual" is based on one's opinion. --Fred (Talk Contribs. Editcount) 19:56, October 26, 2013 (EDT)
^Agreeing with this. "Episodes with unresolved endings"? Something like that would do. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 17:08, October 28, 2013 (EDT)

Episodes featuring most or all of the states

Reason for deletion: Too short and unnecessary.

86.177.77.68 00:47, October 17, 2013 (EDT)

Agreed. I think this is pointless. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 03:18, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Agreed. I don't see the point of this one, either. -- Mythigator (talk) 09:37, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Agreed. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 14:32, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Agreed. Stupid article that Randomno created. --Fred (Talk Contribs. Editcount) 20:09, October 26, 2013 (EDT)

List of episodes that aired outside of the normal season run

Reason for deletion: Too short and unnecessary.

86.177.77.68 00:47, October 17, 2013 (EDT)

Disagree. This is good enough for a list in my eyes. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 03:18, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Disagree. This is noteworthy, and the explanations of the circumstances behind the outside-the-norm airdates provide some nice insights into the show's history. -- Mythigator (talk) 09:37, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Disagreed. The fact it's too short isn't really an issue. It's not like we can just make it longer. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 14:32, October 17, 2013 (EDT)
Disagree. A fine list. --Fred (Talk Contribs. Editcount) 20:09, October 26, 2013 (EDT)

Watchthesimpsonsonline.net

Reason for deletion: Not notable, not one of our affiliates, site has shut down anyway. ~ The ghosts are here... polterbart is my name... (talkcontribs) 15:17, October 26, 2013 (EDT)

Disagree. It was a fairly famous Simpsons site. It just needs an infobox and a bit of a cleanup, as well as a mention about the controversy etc. Solar Dragon (Talk Contribs.) 18:50, October 26, 2013 (EDT)
Disagree. Noted Simpsons website, even if it has shutdown, it still should remain an article. --Fred (Talk Contribs. Editcount) 20:02, October 26, 2013 (EDT)
Disagree. It's part of the history of the fandom. At the very least, leaving the article on the wiki might provide answers / closure to people wondering "What the hell happened to wtso.net?" -- Mythigator (talk) 15:10, October 28, 2013 (EDT)

Happy First "A"

Reason for deletion: Too short and unnecessary. A two-line song parody warrants a mention on the References tab of the episode it appears in ("Homer vs. Dignity"), but its own article? I don't think so. -- Mythigator (talk) 09:43, October 28, 2013 (EDT)
