Paul Edward Winfield (May 22, 1939 – March 7, 2004) was an American actor, best known for his Academy Award nominated role in Sounder (1972), Emmy nominated role as Martin Luther King, Jr. in King and U.S.S. Reliant captain Clark Terrell in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. He voiced Lucius Sweet in the season 8 episode "The Homer They Fall" and in the season 9 episode "The Trouble With Trillions".
