Cultural references[edit]
- In Nap Comix, one of the things Abe and Jasper crash through is an off-Broadway production of the musical Hair.
- In the description of Milhouse Reluctant Robot Rassler 4000 A.D.:
- It mentions Han Solo from Star Wars, Shane from Shane, and Kevin Costner from Waterworld.
- The final line "in the future, no one can hear you whine without getting really annoyed.", is a reference to the tagline of the film Alien, "in space, no one can hear you scream".
- The Adventures of Martin and Louis' name, and the reference to another comedy duo, is a reference to Martin and Lewis, which consisted of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. The description also refers to Mary Martin, who starred in the 1954 musical Peter Pan, and boxer Joe Louis.
