The 2009 North America solar eclipse is a total solar eclipse that occurred in the center of North America, passing over Washington, D.C. and Springfield. The solar eclipse has known to have at least one casualty.
History[edit]
Before the solar eclipse, Kent Brockman aired a report ("Sky-o-rama") on Channel 6 News, which ended with him leaving the studio over not having his eclipse-viewing object pre-made. When the Simpson family were viewing the eclipse with their eclipse-viewing objects, Homer's 'space toy' got crushed when Bart jumped onto the dog's kennel, and Homer jumped on as well, with Bart throwing him off.
