Springfield has a variety of laws that are not found in other parts of the state or the US.

Laws

Town Charter

  • The chief constable shall recieve one pig every month and two comely lasses of virtue true [1]
  • If food stuff should touch the ground, said food stuff should be turned over to the village idiot [2]

Laws on legality

  • It is illegal to mail threatening letters [3]
  • It is illegal to put squirrels down your pants for the purposes of gambling [4]
  • Casino gambling is legal [5]
  • No mercury dumping without permit [6]
  • It is a crime to tease the fast food order box [7]
  • It is illegal for movie producers not to wear puffy director's pants.[8]
  • It is illegal to operate a Class-9 Vehicle (e.g. skateboard) without pads and a helmet[9]

Propositions

  • 24 - Illegal Immigrants are to be deported [10]
  • 304 - Polls will become legally binding [11]
