Japan is a country in the continent of Asia. The capital city is Tokyo and it is famous for it's comic books and cuisine. The Simpson Family visit Japan and end up taking part in a game show to win tickets back home to Springfield. Japan is an island nation made up of over 6,852 islands. The 4 largest are Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku, and Hokkido. japanese socity is very different from that of America. First of all Japanese sports teams do not represent cities or reigons like they do in America. Instead sports teams are named after the corporations that own them (i.e. Tokyo Yomiyouri Giants, Ashai Beer Silver Star, and Mitsubishi Daimond Dolphins). Second of all Japanese schools are very different from schools in America. All students are required to wear school uniforms and are to bow to their teachers when they enter the classroom to show respect. They also go to school on Saturday. Many manga and anime (Japanese cartoons) are centered around the everyday lives of high school students.
