Speed is a 1994 action film starring Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. It was followed by a sequel, Speed 2: Cruise Control in 1997.

• "The Springfield Files" (S8E10, #163) - Video loop sent to SNPP security camera, Homer tries to recall where he got the idea, can't remember the movie's title, says he thinks it was called "The Bus that Couldn't Slow Down".
• "Bye Bye Nerdie" (S12 E16, #264) - When Marge races to catch the school bus, Milhouse says it reminds him of Speed 2, only with a bus instead of a boat.
