Slaves of New New York! is the first story in the series The Simpsons Futurama Crossover Crisis II and was published in the first issue, The Simpsons Futurama Crossover Crisis II #1.

Plot[edit]

Morbo and Kent Brockman tell the viewers what happened from their viewpoint. Morbo says that the cast of the Simpsons comic book have come to life and invaded New New York. Brockman says that the entire town of Springfield is having a mass hallucination. Bender, Fry and Leela are watching the news on TV when Professor Frink comes flying through their windows. The police then enter the room and arrest Frink. Professor Farnsworth then comes and tells them why this has happened, and Fry gets a flashback of what happened.

Professor Farnsworth and Ogden Wernstrom were at a meeting with other scientists, where they showed their new products. After Wernstrom destroyed Farnsworth's project, he discovered that he had one of Fry's comic books and decided to open a barrier between the comic and the real world instead, and started to cut up the comic book with his new scissors. Everyone in Springfield got teleported to New New York. When Farnsworth was asked what they should do with the fictional characters, he said that they could have them as slaves, and they started capturing the Springfield residents while they tried to escape. The Simpson family decided to escape and ended up in Planet Express headquarters, where they met Fry and his friends.

The police come to the office, but because they fool the police into thinking that they are action figures they don't arrest the Simpsons. To avoid New New York for a while, the whole gang go out to space, while the rest of the residents of Springfield receive slavery jobs in New New York, and Mr. Burns has become Mom's new boyfriend. When they try to deliver the first package, the receiver intends to eat them, but they manage to escape the monster. All other deliveries lead to the same problem. Soon the working day is over and the gang lands in New New York again. Meanwhile, DOOP has collected some of the people of Springfield and takes them onboard Nimbus, and Zapp Brannigan tells them they should work for him and Waylon Smithers, Jr. becomes his assistant. Bart and Bender are in Farnsworth's lab and when Bart accidentally activates Farnsworth's literary reality-tearing machine, Bender throws it to the New New York Public Library and all the characters in the library books come to life and start to take over New New York.
