To Live and Diaper in Springfield is a Simpsons Comics story that appears in Simpsons Comics #35.
Homer watches a TV show called "Unsolved Cases of Amputation" (showing Van Gogh got his ear cut because of a barber), when a commercial of Troy McClure advertising a new product appears: an aluminium made toilet paper dispenser, which can light in dark, warm the paper and play music, but costs $299,98. Homer wants that for his birthday and asks Marge for one, but she rejects. When she is driving, she listens to an add on the radio about a waitress job, which she could take to pay Homer's gift, but she needs to leave Maggie somewhere. She sees a Krusty day care center, where Kearney "cares" for the kids, who play eating paint while watching The Krusty the Clown Show. After seeing how bad the place is, she decides to open her own day care business at her house.
