Tiananmen Square, also called Tien An Men Square, is a city square in Beijing, China.
History
Krusty's congressional campaign commercial included a doctored photo of his face over the unidentified protester facing the tanks in 1989 in Tiananmen Square.[1]
After Homer took Ling Bouvier from the Beijing Orphanage, he met up with the rest of the family in Tiananmen Square. They planned to go back home from here until they were stopped by Madam Wu in a tank.
The plaque in the Square says "On this site, in 1989, nothing happened."[2]
