Consternation is a board game found in the Simpsons' attic.

History

Bart and Milhouse were forced to play board games after Marge deemed the videogame they were playing too violent, stating that "this is that videogame Reverend Lovejoy said you shouldn't play," even though the reverend himself was also playing the videogame, shouting in the game to "slay the wounded." When the two went up to the attic they found a bookcase full of board games and began going through them. One of the games Bart found was Consternation. After looking through all the "bored lames" they chose Satan's Path and began playing that, which caused all the other games to come to life.

Behind the Laughter

The game is a parody of the card game Concentration (which in turn was adapted from the famous NBC game show).
