Trivia
- This is the first "live" appearance of Grampa. He was previously on a framed picture on the wall in other shorts.
- On the left side where Grampa is sitting, there is a picture of a plane taking a nosedive.
- Marge does not appear in this short, though a picture of her is seen on the wall.

- Grampa tells a story about the The Happy Little Elves which would later appear in The Simpsons continuity.
