The Great Money Caper is an episode from Season 12 of The Simpsons. It is about Homer and Bart swindling people until it gets out of control.

The Great Money Caper is an episode from Season 12 of The Simpsons. The episode opens with the Simpson family eating at the Dinner Theater. Bart buys a magic kit and as the family drives home, a sturgeon falls from the sky, damaging the car (from a Russian space station. Bart offers Homer to make money for his magic act but it doesn't make enough. Homer is angry with Bart and leaves him to walk home. People seeing Bart's delima and give him money to get home. Homer gains the idea to trick people to give him and Bart money. They are successful and use the money to fix the car and decide to continue grifting. When trying to grift the [[Springfield Retirement Castle]], they are caught by a member of the FBI. When they arrive at the police station, the member lets Bart and Homer turn themselves in. But Homer thinks to convince Chief Wiggum to show Bart a cell and as soon as they are. The FBI member is revealed to be a grifter and stole the car and money they took from the old folks. Bart and Homer lie that the car was stolen by a foreign loner with wild, bushy hair and the next day, Groundskeeper Willie is accused for the car theft. During the trial, once given his sentence, Wille goes berserk until Homer tells the truth about the theft. It was then revealed that the theft and arrest was all a hoax, in which everyone in the courthouse, TV news, [[and Devon Bradly]] (who played the car thief) was involved (except Willie) to teach Bart and Homer a lesson about grifting. Just when Lisa was bout to explain how they were able to pull it off, Otto bursts in and declares "Surfs Up!" and everyone goes surfing.
