Lisa's Lending Library is a Simpsons Comics One-Shot Wonders story that appears in The Wonderful World of Lisa Simpson.

Plot

Lisa inaugurates a free lending library that she built. Ralph tells Lisa that he likes the house that she built for the little people. The first who lends a book is Homer and he borrows the complete Harry Potter series. But when Lisa sees that Homer uses the books to build a table to his beer, she becomes angry.

Milhouse is next who borrow a book but he does not want to read the books he place them on his shoes to be taller. This makes Lisa more angry, the next person that lend is Bart but he uses the books to build a ramp for his skateboard. Lisa walks around the neighborhood and ask if no one wants to read the books. When Lisa is back, she sees the the visitors playing with the books, Lisa asks them to stop but they is not listen. Lisa goes home and tells Marge that nobody likes her books. Marge says that it is not so and she see that Marge uses a book as aid to the table.

Lisa has now decided and think removing her lending libary. Ralph comes by and asks what happened to the people who lived in the house. Lisa tell him that there are no people, there are books. Ralph argues that it is people and start talking about the people. Lisa realizes that he 's talking about The Borrowers in her library. Lisa thanks Ralph because he actually read a book even if he does not understand that he did it. She decides to keep the libary. After Lisa has gone home again begin Ralph talking to the little people who live in the library.
