Short Information

Burp Contest is the sixth Simpsons short. It aired on The Tracey Ullman Show on June 28, 1987.
Plot
Bart and Lisa are visible at either ends of the room with cans of soda in each hand. Each takes a swig of soda and burps in turn. Marge walks in at the left hand side of the room and enquires as to the situation.
She scolds them and storms out, but Bart and Lisa continue. At the beginning of the next scene, they are once again drinking soda when Marge storms in once again. Marge lectures Bart and encourages him not to disappoint her. At the moment Marge leaves, Bart emits a gigantic belch and falls on his back.
Marge asks the kids what the thrill is, but disagrees with their activities. At this point, she leaves and, with Bart, Lisa, and Maggie alone in the room together, Maggie belches very loudly. Neither of the other two able to match her prowess, Marge bursts in once more and berates them. Homer walks in with some Duff Beer and out-belches everyone. Marge is disappointed.
