Sam Simon

Sam Simon was one of the original developers of The Simpsons, along with Matt Groening and James L. Brooks. He has also worked on many other television shows including Cheers and The Drew Carey Show. He was married to Jennifer Tilly from 1984 to 1991. He is currently writing a sitcom for Howard Stern’s Howard 100 channel on Sirius Satellite Radio named The Bitter Half.

Trivia

  • When Drew Carey and Norm MacDonald were on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in 2000, they used Sam as their Phone-A-Friend(s).
  • Simon frequently appears as a panelist on the PBS program Mental Engineering.
  • Ever since Simon left The Simpsons during Season 4, he has always been credited in Treehouse of Horror episodes as "Sam 'Sayonara' Simon".
  • In The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular, they showed Simon a lot like Howard Hughes.
