They are related to the Simpson family by the marriage of Lance DuBois to Clarice Stemple, who's brother Gaylord married trixie Simpson, and are related to the Burns family by Lolly DuBois marrying Otto Graycomb, with their daughter Evelyn marrying Wainwright Montgomery Burns.
They were of French origins.
