Cultural references
- "Bad" and "D'oh" magazines are Bart's versions of the magazine MAD.
- Among the attendees for D'oh's funeral are MAD's Alfred E. Neuman, Cracked's Sylvester P. Smythe, Crazy's Irving Nebbish, and The New Yorker's Eustace Tilley.
- Agent vs Agent is an Itchy and Scratchy version of Antonio Prohías' "Spy vs Spy".
- The Sideshow Bob comic is based on Don Martin's comics for MAD.
- Writer Ian Boothby would later go on to write for MAD with Bill Morrison.[1]
