Plot[edit]

Skinner discovers that Bart has made a humor magazine and is distributing it to his classmates. He does not like them, so he confiscates them. Krusty hears from a spy in the school about Bart's magazine, and he realizes that kids like magazines now, so he lets Bart produce a humor magazine for him, called D'oh!. Krusty decides that Homer should be on every cover, since he's perfect for the role. Krusty tells Bart that his first task is to write a parody of a Wolfcastle movie that is being filmed. Bart sneaks onto the set and finds a script to make his work easier. When the first magazine is ready, Bart discovers that he will not get paid or have other writers to work with. At the same time, Homer begins to feel ashamed that he is on the cover of the magazine, and it does not get any better when he learns that he cannot say "D'oh!" anymore without paying Krusty. Lisa discovers that Bart is not doing well and he works a lot, so she starts to help him with the newspaper. Bart tries to explain to Krusty that he wants to quit, but he misunderstands and starts giving out the paper every week, making more work for Bart. When Homer finds out, he gets angry because he thinks no one should make his son work hard, but when he visits Krusty he finds out that the magazine is cancelled since the sales have bottomed out, and the magazine will soon have its funeral.
