After the film ended, Bart and Lisa told Comic Book Guy how they enjoyed the film once they started paying attention to it.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Forward to the Past is a parody of Back to the Future. Mickey is a parody of Marty McFly. The professor is a parody of Doc Brown. The professor's catchphrase "Great Steve" is a parody of Doc. Brown's catchphrase "Great Scott". The time machine being a tanning booth in the draft is a reference to it being a refrigerator in the draft of Back to the Future.
