- Milhouse asking Bart if he remembered what happened last time they ate a squishee with only syrup is a reference to "Boy-Scoutz 'n the Hood".
- When Apu told Bart that he has his outift from the last time he worked at the Kwik-E-Mart he is referring to Bart vs. the Kwik-E-Mart.
- Sugar Bombs may be a reference to the cereal of the same name from Fallout.
