Character statuses are the status of each character, whether they are alive, dead, non-canon, fictional, a robot or possibly a combination of each.

What statuses are there?

The statuses for characters are as follows:

They are added to an infobox by simply typing the template name into the infobox's status parameter, no brackets {{}} needed.

Guest stars and statuses

Since guest stars, who play themselves sometimes, have passed away, their character statuses remain the same, unless otherwise stated in future episodes or other canon media.

Examples of when to use the deceased status on guest star character articles:

• Gerald Ford is dead in real life. However, there has been no specific in-universe reference to has having passed on, so the status on his character page is "Alive".
• Ernest Borgnine is alive in real life. But the status of his character is uncertain (the ending of the episode in which his character appeared left it unclear), so the status on his character page is "Possibly deceased".
• Bob Hope is dead in real life, and his passing has been referred to on the show, so his character page shows his status as "Deceased".

If, after you have been linked to this page, you continue to change the status of a guest character, you may receive a short block at an administrator's discretion.
