Trivia
- The name of this episode could refer to the popular franchise Pokémon. 'Pokey' is another name for prison.
- The sequence when Homer runs after the Chiropractor parodies the movie Chinatown.
- Sideshow Bob can be seen in the infirmary wearing a headcast from the neck up.
- Whilst working at the prison Marge informs Bart that Sideshow Bob will be seeing him very soon. Bart laughs and replies with "Oh, that Bob". Bob would return to terrorize Bart three episode later in "Day of the Jackanapes", which would lead to the fact that the average episode takes up an entire day, unless there is an exeption with that.
- Marge apparently makes horrible sundaes; Both Jack and Bart looking pained when Marge forces them to eat one.
