Synopsis[edit]
- "Frink's study of the beloved three-eyed fish, Blinky, results in a plague of biblical proportions. Soon voracious three-eyed mutant fish beasts overrun the entire town of Springfield! Can Professor Frink find a solution to science run amuck"
Plot[edit]
Professor Frink talks to Bart and Lisa about his Frinkian Miracle-Gro, and tests it on Blinky in a bowl. Blinky grows legs and crawls out of the bowl. Frink is happy that the experiment worked, but Lisa thinks it's a bad idea to "alter the building blocks of life". However, Frink tells her that it is for science. Blinky starts to clone himself and gets a twin. Frink gives the two Blinkys thyrozine-inhibitor pills to get them back to normal, but they don't work. Instead, the Blinkys spawn and start to invade Springfield. Frink calls the pest control genius, Cletus Spuckler, who attracts the mutant fish to a Krusty Burger by placing hamburgers outside, and manages to capture them. Krusty the Clown buys the mutated fish and uses them as mystery meat for a new sandwich, the "Fish Knish". The fish burgers prove to be a hit with customers and a money-maker for Krusty, and everyone except Lisa is happy with how things turn out.
