Marge Attacks! is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #25.

Plot[edit]

The Simpson family are watching a talk show hosted by Kent Brockman, except for Marge who thinks it's degrading. After she unsuccessfully tries to make the family watch an educational show instead, she writes to Mayor Quimby. Days later, as Quimby's team suggest issues to target for his campaign, one of them reads Marge's letter and invites her over. The next day in the studio, Brockman is forced by Quimby's team into discussing people whose lives have been ruined by talk shows. As Mrs. Krabappel reveals how her previous appearance on his show led to ridicule, Marge interrupts from the audience, arguing that people shouldn't publicly announce things they are ashamed of, as it damages society's wholesome image. As the audience cheer for her, Quimby spills coffee on his clothes, but Marge quickly removes it with a stain remover. The incident is broadcast on TV, and Marge's stain removing abilities become the talk of the town.

The network president fires Brockman and invites Marge to start her own talk show. Meanwhile, Quimby's approval ratings are low, and his campaign team suggest he takes an angle from Marge. Marge starts on her show, using the family's living room furniture in the studio. She shares her recipe for a dessert, with Quimby helping out. Quimby spills the dessert on his apron, and Marge once again successfully removes his stains. Marge's show becomes incredibly popular and Quimby's team is hopeful that it will save his campaign with his role in her stain removal segments. A bitter and unemployed Brockman decides to doctor a photo of Quimby to make it incriminating. The Simpson family struggle without Marge, as Homer is unable to do laundry, lunches and baby changing. Published on the front page of a tabloid newspaper is Brockman's edited photo, a picture of Quimby with a woman he was involved with edited to have Marge's head. Quimby's team want to use it to their advantage, while a distraught Homer thinks Marge will leave him. Marge vows to get to the bottom of the issue, and spotting a tattoo on the photo, determines that the woman pictured is actually Quimby's campaign worker.

During the next show, Quimby tries to keep up the ruse of something happening between him and Marge. Marge instead invites the campaign worker onstage and tells the audience about Quimby's sleazy campaign tactics. The campaign worker hits him and Marge pours a giant stain over him, announcing that she is quitting. A few weeks later, Brockman's talk show has returned, but Marge refuses to watch it.
