Orbit King is a model space rocket.

History[edit]

After Bart saw a commercial for the product featuring Chet Manners, he bought it using Homer's credit card. When it arrived in the mail, Homer and Bart built the rocket together. The rocket was soon ready to launch, and Homer began the countdown. Before he could reach T-0, the rocket exploded. The shock of the explosion blasted Milhouse's eyebrows onto Bart's cheeks. Undaunted by the failure, Homer and the boys tried again. Homer taped a new rocket to the launch pad, but it also exploded.

They then noticed that the Flanders family had also built a rocket, so Homer contacted his old college roommates to build a new, better rocket. This time, the launch was a success, but the rocket began to drift off course. Homer attempted to radio a set of complicated directions to Nibbles, the astronaut. The hamster briefly looked at the control panel, saw the red eject button, and quickly got a better idea. He head-butted the button and ejected to safety. The unmanned rocket headed for the church. Homer resorted to his backup plan: he pulled out a shotgun and fired wildly at the rocket. He missed, and the rocket crashed into the church, ricocheted around, and caused havoc before bouncing out and landing on the front lawn. The flames and smoke were visible from the Simpsons' backyard.[1]

Someone purchased an Orbit King during a Black Friday sale at Sprawl-Mart.[2]

It was also seen at Hello Krusty.[3]
