Almost Excellent Adventure is a Bart Simpson story first printed in Bart Simpson #8.
Plot[edit]
On the way to a school trip with the fourth grade, Otto gets lost and the class is forced to stop at a general store. Bart and Milhouse ask for Squishees but the closest they can get is chipped ice on toast. Bart persuades Milhouse to ditch the school trip with him and go exploring. They find two "yokel" boys, Max and Sam, who are painting a fence. Bart introduces the boys to water guns, skateboarding and prank calls. After Bart persuades them to graffiti their names on the fence the town's mayor orders them to paint over it. Mrs. Krabappel catches Bart and Milhouse and makes them paint over Springfield Elementary as punishment.
