  • This is the first home console video game of The Simpsons that features audio dialogue from the show's cast.
  • The game has a debug mode which can be activated by pressing a series of buttons during the title screen:
    • Mega Drive/Genesis version: Left, Down, A, A, B, Left, Up, Down [1]
    • SNES version: A, A, A, X, X, B, B, Y [2]
  • An early prototype of the SNES version was leaked online. Differences to the final game include less detailed graphics, different music, missing cutscenes and an ending screen which says "You won! You are a true Bart Simpson". [3]
