(It's referring to the hotel chain, not Astoria, OR ... but both of them do derive their names from the Astor family)

Location Information
Use: Hotel / Convention center

The Boise Astoria is a luxury hotel located in Boise, Idaho. Among the hotel's features is a convention center.

History

The Boise Astoria hosted the Atomic-Con nuclear power convention. Homer, Lenny and Carl attended, representing Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.

Behind the Laughter

  • The hotel's name is a reference to the Waldorf Astoria luxury hotel and resort chain. In real life, however, the chain does not have a location in Boise.
