Behind the Laughter[edit]
This refers to the fictional Acme Corporation from Warner Bros. cartoons.
The name 'Acme' is also used for the maker of rat-trap kit, including an anvil, that Chief Wiggum used to unsuccessfully catch the people who trashed Springfield Mall.[1]
