Asa during the Great War.

World War I or the Great War was a global military conflict from 1914 to 1918.

History[edit]

Bart wanted to buy Radioactive Man #1 comic book, so he went over to Mrs. Glick's house to do some chores. He saw a yellowed photo of a World War I serviceman and asked who he was, and Mrs. Glick answered, "Oh, that's my brother Asa. He was killed in the great war. Held a grenade too long."[1]

Abe Simpson had fought in this war. Lenny asked why he kept calling it "the FIRST World War," as before WWII, this war was called "the Great War."[2]
