The "five stages of death anxiety" are a series of five emotions of a person who is going to die.

History[edit]

After Homer consumed blowfish venom, Dr. Hibbert told him that he had 22 hours to live, and he is going through five stages.

Stages[edit]

Homer went through the five stages quickly:

Stage Homer's reaction
Stage 1 - Denial "No way! I'm not dying!"
Stage 2 - Anger "Why, you little--!"
Stage 3 - Fear "What's after fear?"
Stage 4 - Bargaining "You gotta get me out of this."
Stage 5 - Acceptance "We all gotta go sometime."

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The stages, is known as the five stages of grief model or the Kübler-Ross model, introduced by Swiss-American psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross.
