Movie relevance[edit]

Just because Glenn Close was in it doesn't automatically make it relevant. This article is specifically about the book. If the movie was also mentioned or if it were more ambiguous as to whether Lisa was referring to the book or the movie, then it would be relevant. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 03:42, November 23, 2013 (EST)

C'mon, it's one sentence extra of trivia. I get this fuss if it was a super long article, but it isn't. And the book and/or film in referenced again in Bart's Girlfriend. I thought it was interesting, you don't. That's opinion. I want to put it back into the section. I mean I'd get if this was an article in the real Wikipedia, but it's a Simpsons wiki so okay to put Simpsons related trivia (which is since Close is a frequent guess star). Again, it's one sentence in a three-sentence article. 24.141.5.202 13:26, November 23, 2013 (EST)
It's unrelated to the article. How was the book/film referenced in "Bart's Girlfriend"? Was it mentioned or seen? If not, it doesn't go here. Also, you added the information back in despite being told not to in the edit summary, which is against wiki policy. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 13:47, November 23, 2013 (EST)
I don't I'm that bad an editor that I deserve that much grief over this. I understand why it matters to me (one of my fav guest star's films get a reference in the TV series), but I don't get why it's so important that it HAS to be removed. It links into Glenn Close's page so it would keep a reader clicking onto another page if he/she wants to do that. Why couldn't Nick have discuss this before undoing my edit instead of the burden being on me anyway. In Bart's Girlfriend, Bart has the line, "[Jessica] is smart, beautiful and a liar, so much better than that Sarah, plain and tall." then cut to a weeping Sarah running away. It's relevant. The movie adaptation is half a sentence and it relates back to Glenn Close which is Simpsons trivia. 24.141.5.202 14:15, November 23, 2013 (EST)
Also point out that I was only mentioned a Simpsons related item. I didn't write that it also starred Christopher Walken since he's never been a guest star or the awards the adaptation won, just the bit about it starring Glenn Close. 24.141.5.202 15:07, November 23, 2013 (EST)
This article is about the book. Mentioning that it became a movie is outside of the page's scope. If Glenn Close was in the episode that it was mentioned in, that might change things. However, that wasn't the case. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 16:47, November 23, 2013 (EST)
But it's mentioned in Bart's Girlfriend, so instead of having two different pages, why not have one page. So Sarah, Plain and Tall is mentioned twice and then a connection to Glenn Close. 24.141.5.202 17:01, November 23, 2013 (EST)
But it's not mentioned in "Bart's Girlfriend", it's referenced. And there's no connection to Glenn Close within this reference. Solar Dragon (Talk Contribs.) 17:06, November 23, 2013 (EST)
However, I have added the reference to the behind the laughter section. ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.)☆ 17:08, November 23, 2013 (EST)
