Following The Be Sharps' win, Homer kept the award, although he tried to give it away. It has since been seen around the Simpson house.

Behind the Laughter

• Although there is no real Grammy category for Barbershop music, there is a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album. There were previously several categories specifically for Soul music. Today, soul music is generally considered part of the "Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music" categories.
• According to Lisa, The Be Sharps beat Dexys Midnight Runners, which would indicate that they were nominated for this award.
