The Springfield Ice-O-Topes are Springfield's hockey team. They once made it to a Mid-Atlantic semi final game.

History[edit]

The Simpsons went to watch the Ice-O-Topes play a hockey game against Shelbyville Visitors with the skybox tickets they received after Homer had an accident at the Power Plant. Lisa gave advice to Kozlov which helped him score, so he gave Lisa his hockey stick.[1]

Homer was watching an aggressive Mid-Atlantic Hockey League Conference Semi-Final do-over game on TV when Maggie interrupted him with her Pat the Bunny book. Ice-O-Topes were playing against Utica Mohogs at Utica's Kill-Kwik Rat Poison Arena. In the game, Utica's player Pete Mavroudis made a shot that was supposed to be stopped by goalkeeper Babando, but was saved by Delacroix, who just slid in front. Also, the Sesame Street on Ice cast was getting impatient wanting the game to end so they could do their performance.[2]

A pennon saying "Go Topes" can be seen at Moe's Tavern.[3]
