I. C. S. I. (Ice Cream Scene Investigators!) is a comic story first printed in The Simpsons Summer Shindig #4.

Plot[edit]

It is one of the hottest days of the summer. Bart runs to Lisa, Milhouse and Nelson, because he wants to show them something at the Kwik-E-Mart. When they get there, they see that someone has stolen the ice cream truck. Lisa decides that they must find out where the ice cream truck has gone. The first thing they do is collect evidence evidence. They take a photo of a shoe in a puddle of melted ice cream and find an ice cream stick with teeth marks. Lisa calls the police to find out if any recurring jailbird has the same shoe size, and Chief Wiggum tells her that it is the same size that Snake wears. Bart and Nelson visit Snake, but he swears that he did not steal the ice cream truck. However, they do not believe him and he gives them a dental impression, but his teeth marks don't match those on the ice cream stick. Lisa can now see that the culprit does not have a front tooth and they realize that a child is the culprit. They start to look at their friends' teeth and find out that the culprit is Todd Flanders.

Todd acknowledges to Lisa that it is his ice cream stick, but he did not steal it, he got a free ice cream from the driver before he drove away and told him that there would soon be free ice cream for everyone. Lisa and Nelson look at the shoe impression and find that it is the same kind of fiber distressed to make lab coats. Bart and Lisa visit Lab Coats, Castle Moats & Parade Floats and find out that they have a customer who returns fairly often: Professor Frink.

They go to Frink and confront him when they see him carrying a box of ice cream, but he tells them that he hass not stolen the ice cream; he is multiplying it with his new invention, The Sundae-Tron 3000. He shows them how the machine works: he puts ice cream in the machine and it starts to produce several gallons of ice cream. Lisa tells him that might be the craziest alibi she ever heard but it's too crazy to not be true, so they let him go and start to enjoy the ice cream. Frink places machine in a public pool that fills up with ice cream. Frink tells Lisa that he is going to make a giant banana split, but Lisa begs him to just take a break and enjoy the ice cream.
